1 John 1:8 NIV Identity crisis And it’s not even that common kind as considered within our cultural inability to “find ourselves.” No, this crisis is rather quite the catastrophe, and one collapsing at that, and that on us, and us then the ones who have what is in every way a crisis of faith which is the very foundation of our every identity as who we are is defined by what we believe. Or even simply the widespread lack thereof of that belief, or at least our ability to admit that we all believe in something. For even nothing is something to believe in. Which seems, oddly enough, what most of us do choose to believe both in our lives and thus of ourselves. Yes, our every single past is riddled with riddles as written by both victim and victor, alas our always playing the both as if we’re somehow the wounded but also the unrealized wounder as won within our wanting that wander both to and through every drive-thru delight as sold at less than half-price in what remains a mind vastly trai...

Romans 7:18 NIV The acknowledgement It’s what sets into proverbial motion what becomes the very toppling of our every trying as set to the tune of the trials in which we’re torn and tried, tattered behind tear-stained eyes as met as if for the first time with this then alien ability to finally see that we had been blind to what every belief was always meant to be but was alas never allowed to become. For to us who’ve lived on this run as won away from the Way of hope himself, we’ve not had then the time to allow ourselves to become what we were always meant to be. Rather all we are is now instead all that we’ll be found acknowledging as if the knowledge was truly always there within us. Something itself of a treasure buried behind our every other blasphemous belief and yet that same realized inability to even make those become what we thought they could help us be. No, rather life has gone quite wildly out here walking upon the wide open and veritably more free. But perhaps that’s the ...

John 8:34 NIV To heed the call to refuse another yoke of enslavement would at first demand a differed stand as to what we’ve never understood about just how far gone we’ve been as defined by how far He went to bring us back. And we’ve never sought to understand that as we know it would undeniably define the depth of our downfall as fallen down all around, all within, all of it all just given way all these days we’ve let slip right past our purpose in exchange for our preference for pleasure, an opinion altogether obtuse enough to have formed every bar we couldn’t bend in order to break out of this prison we couldn’t see that we alone have built of every disbelief and inability to fight beyond them for the better for which He built us. No, we’ve not the stomach for such honesty as we’ve honestly lost so much of the rest of ourselves and our souls that I suppose we shouldn’t expect to have our stomach left around either. It’s rather all been sold at rock-bottom dollar for that is the wag...

Ephesians 5:11 NIV Having been set ablaze by a brazen belief becomes in those few of faith a fervor fervent upon furthering the freedom found in Christ’s having found us having wandered away from all that a faith affords. Indeed, we are now in Him eternally indebted unto such a goodness as that which gave for us a grace that turned a grave into gateway through which we’ve now this hastened hope to hurry and harken of our share in that home as held in Heaven, sharing that such good news is given also unto all who’ve the ability to see beyond the disbelief of darkness and the shame of the shadows amongst which and with whom we’ve long hidden our lives through this time. Yes, we are made now aware of just how fleeting this feeling as this life itself lay fading. And as it burns to ember, this life lived without the light of Christ’s love leading the way toward the better we’ve never proven ourselves able to be all by ourselves, we rejoice now in the joy of knowing that His Word and His wi...

Micah 6:7 NIV “With what shall come before the Lord?” That simple contemplation begins this little passage from the book of Micah, a lone pondering put forth by another who was as we are, a people who’re in Christ and fighting to find the ability to grow even deeper despite our fallen human nature insisting we fall still further away from the Way that is the Life that brought the Truth which set us free from a way of life we still at times don’t mind the thought of revisiting, reliving, reviving some days. A wondering wandered toward only because there’s little easy in all these eternal realizations that He opens our eyes to seeing. Such as the gravity of knowing that God’s grace cannot be bought or bartered, leaving us nothing but to come before Him with nothing other than the fearful hope that He’s willing to accept the nothing we have left of the everything He created us to be. And I dare say that such an understanding is one which stands among the ultimate stumbling blocks in regar...

1 John 1:8 NIV The image of innocence is one that all seek in some way, at some time, but to achieve that impossible is an undertaking only undertaken so long as insanity is allowed to remain the status quo. For there comes a time, at some time and in some way, in which we must come to terms with the fact that doing as we’ve always done can only possibly accomplish keeping us who we’ve always been. Such is the definition of insanity, and apparently why we’ve each delved so deep into such mental discrepancy that we’re all but eternally divided from all that is good without any idea as to where to go in order to find even a worthy or willing replica. Because though we return, as swine to wallow or dog to vomit, incessantly back to the blasphemes we’ve become and begun to believe in, lean on, hope for, nothing in this world can possibly offer unto us the salvation achieved at the simple cost of admitting its need. Yet we seem almost incapable of understanding such simplicity as we see inc...
