Matthew 7:22 NIV Busy with unbelief And that simply because it’s become entirely too easy and thus too common and thus too normal for us to believe that the things we do might matter. In fact, the very idea of our actions perhaps meaning something, making a difference, inflicting a change or imposing a point has become one of the most common beliefs shared amongst man. Why? Because what we do does matter, especially here. And that’s because the things we do, words we say, even the thoughts we think bring with them real-life and often real-time outcomes. In truth all of this life that we’re all here going through, it’s a true experiencing of what is cause and effect in which what we do does mean something in the way of a result found. Problem is that we’ve all become so focused if not in fact utterly fixated on said results that life itself has resulted in this outlook that has us all but entirely sure that there’s always something we say or think or do that might hopefully help change ...

1 John 5:12 NIV What do we have here? For most the answer to that question usually revolves around something that’s here with us. In fact, the answer is or has been the same for all of us in that all of us have lived all of our lives looking far too interestedly upon the things and theories of this world. We’ve all given entirely too much of our time, our efforts, our energies and imaginings unto those things which we can see thus could hold, could buy within this life that we’ve fairly been convinced that we’ve lived. Because indeed, one would think that to be alive meant that they were living a life. And perhaps we are. Maybe we have. I hope we do or will or at the very least want to as I consider life to be an amazing gift that’s honestly, considering it’s given us daily, entirely easy to overlook and take for granted. I mean, when you continue to receive the same thing day after day, it’s pretty much expected that you’ll probably come to expect it. And this is in every way what eve...

1 Timothy 6:19 NIV Get a life Don’t worry, it’s actually remarkably easy to do! For while I know it sounds both confusing, degrading, a little bit childish and a whole lot of rude, the fact is that it’s actually the pursuit that we’ve all been called to. And that’s simply because He who created us at first created us for basically everything better than everything we’ve chosen instead to become and then He actually chose to come to become among us so as to, having put both on us and up with us, save us by doing with His life what none of us had done with ours. And that’s honor God through the violent upholding of His will as if it were all that ever mattered. No, the tragic reality of our reality is that our humanity has really neglected to even simply acknowledge Him. And we’ve in truth done this in every possible way that we could imagine to. We’ve blatantly gone willfully against His Word and will. We’ve brazenly rejected His offering to lead us for the mere repayment of our loving ...

Luke 12:15 NIV More is less If in regard to nothing else but room itself. And that’s simply because within our lives, within our eyes, within our minds there can fit only so much. We’ve only so much time within this life in which to find what all there is that we’re here to find, to feel, to figure out, to forge, to forget, to race toward and/or walk away from. To everything in and of this life there is an inherent limitation in some respect and to some degree. The problem then seems to be that as a people we still seek to see the kind of majority that allows us no room for anything. For, again, the more we have the less room we do. Because, well, everything takes up space. It may be that of the literal, physical space around us such as within our houses. This version we all know rather well as we all know rather well the amount of stuff we’ve at present crammed within our nooks and crannies. We all know the extra stuff that’s stored either in our garages, attics, basements or storage ...

1 Corinthians 2:5 NIV With the help of humility For as it turns out such is the only hope for humanity. And that’s simply because conventional wisdom teaches us that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. And thus the shortest, quickest and so too the easiest path toward everything better that we’ve never become is a straight line in the opposite direction of this we’ve so clearly chosen culturally. Indeed, the very best way for us to ever find, feel, be or become anything better is to make a b-line back to all we’ve left behind. Because it should be easy enough to find considering all we’ve not found ever since and, on top of this, that we’ve hopefully found plenty of reasons as to why what we’re doing now simply isn’t working. The fact that not much is working pretty much being the only real reason we should ever really need. Because life was never meant to be whatever this is that we now call a life. In fact I find that I’m found most days with this obviously c...
