1 Timothy 6:9 NIV Ruined in a world of want It amazes me sometimes just the sheer volume of the volume of how much stuff we have around us and how loudly it shouts around us as it wants for us to want it too. Every single day we’re all met first thing in the morning with these millions of make believe majesties that wish for us to agree that they’re something we need as they promise that they’ll make our lives better or bigger or somehow other more filled or full. And so many of them do seem as if they do as they sure seem to for so many others. And as those who look unto our brothers and sisters to be our sisters and brothers, doing then as brothers and sisters ought to do, we fall effortlessly into this trust in all that we see the sum of basically everyone else enjoying. A sight which only adds fuel to the fire that is our fallen human desire for more as was literally began by the very desire to have more.
