Isaiah 44:20 NIV A kingdom of stones and bushes and birds that can’t fly And that because we’ve either clipped their wings holding them in our hands or rather just insisted they die, and that two at a time. Because we’ve become all so assured of ourselves and our paths that we never seem anymore all that willing, interested or able to stop and put all our cards on the table. Maybe because we still assume that we’ve the winning hand and simply wish not to reveal our success until we’ve managed to stretch the betting line a little further. Or maybe because we can’t see what all our cards are clearly enough to realize that we’re holding but a suicide king, a two of hearts, the ace of spades, one get out of jail free card (forged obviously) and a draw four from Uno. All of which we’ve pulled seeking to win the hand that is this life from what is the house of cards that we’ve spent this life building into the castle we think it is as it sure looks like one when seen from the right angle. An...

Psalm 73:4 NIV What is struggle? Is it something disclosed in discomfort? Is it disease undisguised? Is it the lack of health known to us as having wealth and knowing nothing but happiness? Is it misery made in more moments than those in which we meet it not? Is it not having the ability, the opportunity, the affluence to afford something we want, something that someone else could afford and many have bought? Is it pain proven in mental delusion designed inside all manner of inner distress never seen, or so we try, upon the surface? Is it seen inside a lack of success in regard to whatever it is that success is to us? What is success? That’s what we spent yesterday trying to discuss. And indeed, it seems that in many ways, if not most, struggle forces us to go in that direction that success doesn’t know. For it feels as if struggle is something seen by eyes that haven’t the life that’s therefore free from the misery that it seems that all struggle means. And sure, to struggle is a bund...

Ephesians 5:6 NIV Deceived And it’s because of it that I now find an intolerance for such practices welling up in me. For life, in at least my feeble estimation, it’s not really something that should have been so allowed to be whatever this is that it’s so sadly become. In fact I don’t personal believe that we should have ever taken it upon ourselves to so usurp the authority to so define life’s condition so as to only ensure that it allows for such things as violence and deception. No, what we’re living is nothing close to what God created life to be. But we all just continue to go along with it all because we are in fact deceived. Because we’re honestly probably just afraid to be anything else at this point. I mean we’ve arrived at the place in time in which such practices as deception and the dishonesty that drives it so endlessly unto and then into our every existence have now existed for so very long that all of us who were born this far from Eden now just think them ordinary. We ...

1 Kings 22:22 NIV A powerful delusion Such is what defines a great many of the illusions that have already befallen a fallen and still falling man. And indeed, this is a fact entirely easy to see inside what are eyes that are, while perhaps still vastly blind to much of what’s become of this sullen and swollen mankind, still able to perceive at least some things that aren’t as they should be. Yet still we collectively opt for the blind-eye approach to both leading and being led in hopes that it won’t end up leaving us for dead. But friends, it already has. And why is that? It’s because such is what we deserve. We deserve to enter our demise as is designed, in part, in the many parties and priorities that we’ve come unto having in our lives anymore. We deserve to suffer far more than we are in fact. In fact we deserve not only what Christ took on our behalf but that spread across the entire length of eternity. Yes, we deserve His kind of suffering but endlessly. Why? Because such has ou...

Zechariah 10:2 NIV It’s no wander Rather the wander is entirely normal thanks to the many abnormalities which have become our commonalities as are currently considered still somehow the best way to both lead and be led. And yet the vast majority of our humanity is getting nowhere so very fast that you would think that we’d collectively be able to combine our outcomes and see that we need to come out from where we’ve gone thanks to who we’ve followed along the way. But no, instead we just convince ourselves that there be delight still in this way in which we’ve gone both toward what we’ve become and nowhere else once here. And yet it’s my fear that our having so collectively fallen into our continually calling upon the very same voices and vices that will leave us only forever vying for a furthered finding of all we’ve found. And while what we’ve found may have had its profit and prize, having looked myself in the mirror and seen the blind eyes that have lived that life in which I let ...
