John 8:43 NIV Obscurity? Certainly. For this is truly the only way in which one might explain the general lack of an ability which has befallen a people at first created with the ability that has since become of such a widespread inability that even the mere suggestion as to such being the case is deemed grounds enough to levy charges upon whomever might be of the audacity to hint that we might be as unable as our inability has us otherwise convinced we aren’t. And yes, this is a true confusion as it seems one so counterintuitive that there may well be no real means by which to assuage it as it seeks no such pleasure. No, rather this overall common confusion as has fallen upon we the deluded, diluted, it’s one that’s found us both as such but of such a stance as to the otherwise that there’s left nothing now but a loss of life. Because the two paths upon which one might be led, lived, left are of such equal opposition that there is no such blending as this blurring growing in hearts an...

Isaiah 59:9 NIV The demise Of a die cast by dim eyes unwilling to see not wanting to know anything but the decision the heart has already in mind for a life all but lived already in time that's not yet come but has rather already gone but only one way. And that being always only our own. For such is the lie that we’ve lived to buy, that which says that our own hearts and minds and eyes and lives are just that and thus for that alone. Just ours and thus us. Leaving us blind to every measure of any better that could still be in what we perhaps even should become but maybe never will due to the will that stole the quill and sewed the quilt that is our quit as chosen every single time that any time in life is seemingly being spent upon anything of the everything that we either don’t like already or can learn to hate quite quickly. And indeed, there are a great and growing number of such things. Which has left us amazingly unamused as to the life we’ve had to peruse looking for somethin...

Isaiah 59:10 NIV I fear the ravages of our rebellion have caused sins that’ve left stains that have become scars that have borne stories of doubt and disbelief that have left us a million miles from anything by which to hope. For here we feel as if hope is somehow housed within something held by the very hands that are the same as those which have grasped for the ghastly and ghostly, leaving us all gone farther than we might have ever dared figure in terms of our trading faith for foolishness and folly. Indeed, as we discussed a bit yesterday it’s that our iniquities have hidden God from hearing all our indifference has thus far had to say from within these lives defined by the death of decay and distress designed by what has come to be an utter moral indignity and spiritual dishevelment. Yes, such is anymore our only temperament as tarnished by these treasures of pleasures that we’ve pursued at the expense of this now impossible expanse across which we often fear our scant few humbled...

2 Corinthians 4:4 NIV To see hope beyond here amongst a world filled with those who can neither see why nor how is what will eventually become perhaps the greatest of separations, and one I don’t think any of us saw coming. For there’s a certain degree of blindness alive in all of us. Now that degree of blindness isn’t as stagnant as life itself it so often allowed to become but rather ebbs and flows and grows and shrinks depending almost entirely upon nothing but the glory of God and His merciful decision as to who among us receive the rare ability to realize His mercy as opposed to those many who will never know it to exist. Simply because it must exist outside of us elsewise it wouldn’t be the gift that grace is meant to be. No, if grace were truly something so mundane as all these other fragments and figments of what we’ve made which are but replacements of such things as love and hope and joy and meaning, if grace were too so subjective as to allow us to author our own fail-prone ...

Matthew 13:13 NIV Is a life lived seeing only in hindsight truly even a life lived at all? Because while it is indeed the only way in which we seem to walk, to work, to want, to waver and wander and wonder why nothing gets better, that should help us see the obviousness of the fact that such a contentment inside such a confusion isn’t all that conducive to really anything at all. How can it be? How can anything improve when built only by the blind? And that’s in no way an affront to those without sight as I fully understand the idea of legitimate disability. Our problem though is not one of disability but rather a disinterested inability. We don’t want to see. Don’t want to hear. We’re not interested in understanding either, for all the above might accidentally force us to learn something, and well, we simply hate learning for the humility required. No, we’ve absolutely no willingness to exist outside of us. That’s why so few have faith anywhere near a fractionate percentage of the siz...

2 Corinthians 4:4 NIV How far must we have fallen into the darkness to now see so many who disbelieve? For to believe is child’s play, something done best among the most immature, immaterial, unreasonable and illogical. It seems as though our vast fascination with such growths as demanded by a world that simply refuses to grow beyond spiritual stagnancy has become for you and me a life lived far too fast in only the wrong direction. And yet still we sit here inside these eyes so blinded by a world’s directing us toward who they say we’re supposed to be as evidenced by all that they demand we do, say, don’t do, never say. And so we see only the ongoing decay of a world already entirely too dark, a collective descent away from anything anywhere near decent. All simply because to believe is anymore considered foolish, a failure in the making as it’s making those who try to trust sit and waste in rust as the world races on toward what will remain long after we’re gone. That’s something tha...
