Romans 2:5 NIV Avoiding the unavoidable It’s something we’ve all tried to do. Something that we’ll all try again. And that because we’ve been born and bred within this belief that is in reality nothing but a doubt as to the power, the authority, the authenticity maybe of another having or being more able or perhaps better capable than we are or at least enjoy assuming we might be. Indeed, we’re all of this belief that we can do things better and thus determine better results in the end of a matter by the time we reach said matter’s end. We live as if we have a say in how things go and where they go to and what all we’ll find and feel once we get there. And to some extent we’re right. Only problem is that that isn’t something to be proud of necessarily. And that’s because, well, the gift that is free will as allows us all to choose what we do and to do it for however long we want it done, it does give us a profound freedom found and felt down here under the sun, a freedom within which e...

Isaiah 2:22 NIV A path personal. Or at least that’s what I believe this faith is supposed to be. For indeed, what else might it be if it’s to be anything that means anything to anyone seeing as how everyone is something different, someone different from everyone else? I mean, while we may all have quite a few shared interests or common goals or even an appreciation for certain cultural pursuits, even these things are still likely to be seen or heard or considered in slightly different ways by all who take part in them or allow them a part in them. Because we’re all unique people who’ve our own personal blend of understandings and confusions, delights and delusions through which all that we see and do and hear and think must always wobble and weave. And yet anymore we spend so much time sectioning ourselves off into what are all these little groups to whom or amongst whom we enjoy feeling as if we belong. It’s something we do in regard to everything from identity politics to our nationa...

Romans 8:6 NIV begins at misconception For this is where our every next step is to be always taken in faith as faith remains the substance of things unseen, a trust in their being there though we cannot see them, a hope that said confidence will confide in us an inevitable validation unto the humble courage to consider the veracity of that which we cannot see, and a belief that sometimes said courage is all we really need. And that especially in those moments in which it feels the last thing we have to give. Such as those many moments when the truth of our fallen reality asks that we confess that we ourselves have made this mess that is our life that we have lived by and for and in and behind so very many lies that, to be honest, there comes a time in which all we can find is that we know not where we are, how we got here, why it was that we were always so eager to stay nor where to find that courage needed to walk away. Why? Because when you begin to see that nearly every step you’ve ...

Isaiah 2:22 NIV For where can the lost lead? And indeed, though we are millions who say it not so, the truth is that we’ve none of us any idea as to where to go. Don’t often know what to do. Generally assume that all in life and of itself is nothing we’ve ever to lose as rather we live as if life’s not even a gift but instead a dread of the dead who dared to do what few try to anymore. A few which in truth seem only to prove that the more you lose the more you learn of what life was always meant to be and that because to lay something down is to trust that it shall either be taken back up or was never needed anyway. But sadly this is not our way for in this life there comes no day in which we say that it’s okay to lay down what we’ve known of life and walk away unto the Way who came to save from what we’d became having chosen to trust in ourselves so long ago. So long in fact that it’s left us living so fast that it’s only inevitable that we get lost and there lose our lives or at leas...

2 Timothy 3:13 NIV Can’t you hear the sound? It’s a chorus crying out this song of a solemn hope being held out just a little longer unto a people who continue to flounder inside what is a life in which to forget and forsake the gravity of faith is seen as something somehow best to prove what all a life’s meant to do. Indeed, we live within this sea of those who seem not at all able to see the clouds starting to part, hear not the trumpet’s start and have then no fear of that day promised drawing near. All because instead they hear the sound of only the laughter loved by those who love not the Lord but only themselves. For that is the way of life that sells unto those who’re sealed inside this mind that makes them continue to believe that believing is a child’s game, something meant to be forever saved for those miniscule munchkins who’ve this foolishness about them that allows them to actually still believe in such things as everything better. And well, that’s just something that the ...
