Matthew 13:12 NIV Iniquity’s inequities To faith alone is there a familiarity to God’s somehow foreign fairness for it asks us to consider things from a perspective finally not our own as has been loaned to a land so lost as to find it more reasonable to consider there is no God. And this people amongst whom we’ve been and among whom we remain has become of this brain in a life spent inside this endless strain to make it plain their refusal to repent of what the grave promises will prove us all dead one day. Rather they live still to make it seem unfair that He is fair to their lack of faith. And indeed, I’ll be the first to confess that I too have made a mess of a message like this. I can’t count the number of times that I’ve mulled it over inside a mind that was still mostly mangled thanks to having learned how to think by a man so mingled inside of sin and self. And thanks to such a constant consideration considered amongst a society with clearly no concern about Christ nor apparent...

Jeremiah 8:13 NIV The crumble In truth it’s something clearly already underway. It’s this reality in which God gives us our way, our say, an agreement to the kind of appeasement we seek, think we want, are sure we do. Indeed, even today He is letting loose upon we lost the cost of our continual refusal to at first comprehend all He is and from then appreciate all that means. Indeed, He is giving us exactly what we’ve all spent our lives asking for and will continue to do so until the very fabric of humanity and the fragility in which exists our existence simply cannot take anymore. He will leave us alone until we’re so alone that we finally realize all that He is and all that He does and all that it means in regard to all that He’s promised us. Unfortunately that realization will prove to come upon most too late I’m afraid. For these days to doubt and deny and disbelieve and that the sum of literally everything that even seems to ask or require anything has become our natural reaction ...

John 12:46 NIV The removal Inarguably the hardest part which is therefore met more often than not with what continues to prove an all but blanket refusal. And that’s because amongst what we’ve all become is a people who seem still able to see that we’ve simply too much to lose along the Way that is the Life that speaks the Truth of our indeed needing now to lose so much of what’s indeed all but become our life. And this is a proverbial knife right to the throat of what’s easily seen as all but our every hope. And hope is a hard thing to let go! Thankfully another part of this process is that He helps us to see that much if not the majority of what we’ve all thought we knew was neither anything new nor anything known. Rather it’s all mostly been made up, mostly by us but so too those around us, in this almost desperate attempt to keep all of us distracted from the disasters that both we’ve delighted to find and thus pretty much all of life has become. Yes, He comes to help us see our du...

Ezekiel 36:26 NIV Ask and you shall receive Problem is we tend to be quite surprised when His answer us finds in the form of something being removed in order to make way, to make room for the new that we’ve asked Him to give, to bring, to help us find or help us leave. You see, I think we so easily get accustomed to this baser approach to the living of a life in which we do so little that’s even useful, ever meaningful that we begin to believe that the greatest changes we’re likely to face are to be themselves quite small and miniscule. And what’s worse is that our living so often inside this box of our limited abilities causes us to perceive limits to God’s abilities too. Until we eventually lose sight of the very God who both created seas so as to swallow what just wasn’t working anymore but also parted the same so as to save the part that He wasn’t yet quite so ready to wash His hands of. And it’s in this measuring of God’s abilities via our often inability to even understand the li...
