2 Corinthians 5:5 NIV revels in the unraveling For comes within it the realizing as to the distances and discrepancies designed and determining both between where we are and where we’ve the chance to be but also then those dividing who we are from who we were made to become. And the distances and differences are so disastrous that it demands of us a choice chosen as to just how frozen we become to what are basically only two different beliefs as are believed by all who live what is a life within this world in which we all have. And those two are that either here is home or that we’re not wherever it’s meant to be found. I was just thinking about this in decidedly different terms last night as I found myself wondering once again through this curiosity as to why this world works this way in which it both thinks it does and has indeed come to convince us all it should. So many things just continue to become questionable as I grow up and get older and find this boulder on my shoulder that ...

2 Corinthians 4:16 NIV Day by day Hour by hour. Minute by minute. Moment by moment if not in fact breath by breath sometimes. Indeed, this life, this line upon which it’s walked and the increasing narrowness thereof, hereof, hereon, it’s something in which so much has come and then gone that eventually all you come to know is this song you sing as the rain falls in sheets upon what is a ground you trust to hold up no matter the weather nor the worry as to whether or not it really will. A worry we all lose hopefully as, well, one day we’re going to find that it’s never once mattered in life what we thought this life was like nor even if we liked whatever this life was. And now that’s not to say that we shouldn’t as Scripture itself, God’s very playbook for how a life should look (and how it’s usually not what we make it out to become), it’s says that there exists nothing better for a man than to enjoy His lot, appreciate His toil, give all He has as if giving it to God in whom we can tr...

2 Corinthians 4:17 NIV The hope of hardship Though something of a seemingly unknown concept, the truth is that all hardship exists to remind us of the better, the stronger, the deeper and more devoted, determined, disciplined we were both created to be and indeed still called to become. The struggle it seems comes from the fact that we’ve in fact not become all we can be but are rather a people vastly prone to proving ourselves mostly intent upon only staying whoever, whatever we are and that likely only wherever we stand presently. Why? Because moving is hard, especially when said moving is on. This is something all of us have experienced plenty of times in each of our lives. We’ve all had these things, these thoughts, these theories that just seemed so genuine, so hopeful, so well thought out that we didn’t think there could ever be anything found in their outcomes that could come back to bite us or betray us or break us. But they did. We’ve all experienced dreams dying, plans going ...

1 Peter 1:3 NIV A living hope And that it’s novel too as is seen through the promise being stated that says it comes from a new birth which hints always toward a new life as is ever defined as one not lived as of yet, well, this seems then to mean that perhaps what we had been living wasn’t a life as it had for us to find no hope that was itself alive as instead maybe we had all died already back when we walked inside what was not a life but rather a time in which it sure seemed as though there were times in which we thought hope we did find. But even then, if that hope wasn’t alive then, well, what was it then that we had found? This is something of a question that exists as something of that thorn in Paul’s side as so too do I ride this train of thought seeking for what I’ve lost in what I truly thought was a life. Indeed, just last night it hit me yet again as I brushed my teeth preparing for bed. I realized that somewhere across the space and time that has been my life over the las...
