Matthew 25:33 NIV The separation It’s a matter which most of mankind clearly cannot see coming, much less as soon as it is. Rather we all so typically fall into this estimation as to this vacation from righteousness and the reality in which it exists as the only trait that will prove to matter will last perhaps for all of forever. Indeed, we all live this life as if this life has left within it plenty of years within which we’re supposed to avoid the tears and fears of failing friends and being forgotten by those we thought were the same. But still comes the Day upon which all will say only the Name of Christ. And that unto very different outcomes in terms of life. And that because for many that Day will prove the first time His Name they’ll say in what is a humbled manner as most will be gathered to meet Him as not a Savior but as rather a sentencer. A silencer. A Shepherd who will do as He’s promised to as, well, that’s simply what shepherds do. They shepherd. They lead those who are...

Ephesians 5:7 NIV Undercomplicated Not to say that it’s not still complicated as it most certainly is seeing as most things in life are. Rather it’s just saying that maybe it’s not nearly as hard as we’ve all so often imagined it to be. For what if, instead of trying to see it through all the confusions and delusions that we’ve designed inside these times, we sought to see it through the simplicity of simply doing all He’s always asked us to? Again, wouldn’t necessarily make any of it any easier. But I dare say it wouldn’t make it any harder either. And that’s because faith is actually a supremely simple calling. It’s so simple in fact that all it really asks is a childlike blend of hope, trust, patience and belief. All of which are things that all of us offer to a great many things both throughout our lives and that every single day. Indeed, we are all giving these things away to things all the time that actually haven’t anything of everything that He’s not only already promised but a...

Ephesians 4:18 NIV Found it It’s now just that I don’t really know what it is nor then what to make of it in light of what we’ve made of it in light of our communal confusion as to the question I asked yesterday, as is found only in our having never asked it before. For yesterday I asked this: If this world is our home and home indeed where the heart is then where is the heart? And I asked this because it seems daily that we see no such mercy as that met in what the heart ought to be, ought to do, ought to give, what we ought then to see. No, rather we see only endlessly the mercilessness of a fallen humanity that somehow continues to fall daily for this deception that tells us both that this world is our home but also that as such it’s supposed to be where we feel we belong. And while this may in fact be the case for many, as it daily so seems to be, what I fear we’re all either finally finding or have been feeling for quite some time or will all indeed feel one day is that the idea j...

Romans 1:28 NIV For to see no worth within what is life as given in a gift unto all is to further discount our very existence into the substance of assumptions achieving for us daily lows in a direction no human should go. Indeed, all our thought and nearly every theory is anymore but a lost ideal spent screaming into the smoke of selfishness as mixed with the fog of folly fighting to keep finding a way to continue this life lived binding all our hopes to things which hold us low in what is a place we were never meant to be so darkened and dangerous as demanded by the depravity that anymore simply is us all. And the dimness deepens as each day we awake anymore only to wander once more unto the outskirts of normality and morality seeking something to numb the monotony of this life lived as the monsters we are. So very lost seeking ways in which either to hide what we’ve become or simply deny that we alone made every choice that’s led us here that we now despise the kindness which came t...

Isaiah 59:2 NIV Sifting through the wreckage of a life lived wasting every opportunity at anything better than whatever this is that we’ve been and become has become a sort of silence that feels almost violence as it confines us to this place so hopeless. And for this we ought not be too surprised for it was in fact our eyes as given over to willfully being blind that begged us to sell us wholesale to whomever might want whatever we were that we didn’t dare decide to remain. But alas it seems now that maybe we’ve lost a bit too much of ourselves as sold to be slaves to ourselves, our sins, our sinful society amongst whom we’ve made plenty of friends perfectly pleased to leave us in that place so divided away from grace and all that He gave when He gave us that grave into which He chose to go that we might choose to try. Because as He’s the One who knit us together He knows better than all that who we’ve been isn’t at all who He made us to be. For He didn’t at all create us to go silent...
