2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV The unknown It’s oddly enough a place known now by all as Calvary whereupon a scene was shown of a life that had known nothing of what it was paying the price as if it had known plenty. No, Christ is He who knew no sin having not sinned and thus fallen not a step short of the glory of God. Rather our Savior is our Savior because He came from the Father to honor the same, a feat accomplished in God having chosen prior to make perfectly clear that Jesus was His Son and of Him was He pleased. Indeed, Christ came to live a perfect life, one so spotless that even His bloody end left only purity in its wake. But alas, for only those who live now the life they too hadn’t known before the cross became our home. Or at least it’s now the house of the only hope we have of what is that life that we’ve yet to live and thus yet to lose. It’s that life as is to be lived as all of life was at first intended. Forever. I mean, logic has to still have some basis in reality, even if...

John 1:16 NIV And now it’s the lone reason we’re still standing in what is a life lived as if drown underneath what are wave after wave of a mercy and grace so deep that we are indeed sinking to depths no human could go. That’s what I love of this faith that continues to find me for reasons I seem to daily to leave unfound myself. I see not what He sees in me. I know not what He has in store for me. I dream for less than what is His best for me. I’ve left no stone unturned seeking His will for me, and yet as here I sit still I see nothing more than a mountain of mistakes piled so high into the sky that sometimes Heaven seems a lifetime away in a place that I could no more reach than into the past in which all those mistakes were made that need now yet another flood. Only one this time of grace as opposed the grave. For that’s the truth of what I see. Maybe it’s through eyes now blinded to the hopes I’ve always known to look for. Maybe it’s eyes seeing finally what and where hope always...

Proverbs 28:13 NIV And the prosperity of humility is proven within the courage to confess. For this is not something any would ever otherwise do as it’s the very last thing we ever think to. No, to confess is in a way to renounce as at first the mouth must speak what the heart has likely long held in captivity. Because such is life as it’s come to be lived by those of us, those who are in fact all of us, who don’t really know all that well how to live a life best. We don’t even know how to live life close. For if we did, well then we’d have nothing to confess. And yet it seems and often feels as if our lists of lusts and lies as found in life continues to grow as further we go into this night of which we were warned so as to be on our guard standing against all that is coming to convince us to fall. Indeed, within His Word we read that if any think themselves standing, that the same should take care lest they fall. For that is the only two eventual inevitables in life, standing for som...

Matthew 26:34 NIV And so we see that Christ has always known everything, right down to the quantity of our depravity, much less its depraved quality as found so eternally deserving of what He took in our stead. Yet instead we live as if we might have hopefully hidden at least some of our many horrors from He who took such a horrible cost upon Himself upon our cross. For that He stole our place hanging up there inside an agony no human mind can imagine, a price deserved by our having stolen His praise and placed it upon things that give no life but rather destroy the gift that we never saw it to be, it is the most supreme kindness ever to have ever come here to exist. Because He did it all knowing still we’d fall away when found upon those many days in which He knew we’d fade from the faith that is the life that His love came to restore. For as we’ve been talking for a few days now, God’s delight was to do as He did in Christ. God set in motion this glorious commotion as has now come ca...

Romans 8:3 NIV Because if there’s anything that our weakened flesh can always seem to all but insist upon it is that all of life and whatever makes it so is to be all but surrendered to our failures and fallacies in order that we needn’t admit them. For the mere presence of a law inevitably defines only the ability for those who know of its existence the imminent fracturing and failing in regard to the obvious necessity of a faithfulness to that righteous outline resulting in that all are thus able to only be proven guilty because of their inability to for every moment resolve to uphold that which is meant only to hold them to the highest of all expectation, a failure felt within any moment in which they waver or wander away from the way that said law was initially intended to guide. In other words, we cannot be proven righteous by a law which was given to stave or starve our already inherent unrighteousness as defined for us by those like us who live like this world has likewise taugh...
