Job 15:31 NIV Two birds in a bush We’re told that such are worth as much as one held within the hand, a lesson leant toward our learning to be grateful for what we have rather than wishing for the more that we don’t. And agreed, I do agree that we do indeed need that sort of gratitude and gratefulness for all we’re given in our lives for a life lived without appreciation for what you’ve been given is a life bound to remain a victim of want and wish and the hurried worry which seethes from the both. Failing to be thankful for what we have only shows forth an arrogance which seems to assume it deserves more simply because it wants the same. Not the way to spend this thing that we call life. But what I fear is that, such as with that adage we discussed yesterday, there may be more layers to peel away from this one as well as, well, what if the one bird we hold in the hand is but a fake, a phony, a picture, a portrait, a painting so lonely that to look at it from any angle other than that ...

1 Corinthians 12:2 NIV Somehow It’s both the perhaps still present mystery as to how it is that we managed to get here to wherever it is that we are in what is likely a life in which we are all, at times, barely living at all in light of this remained inability to speak due to our voices having been given on loan to all that is neither alive nor then able to promise we’ll be when we’re no longer here as such, but also then maybe the key which could possibly unlock the lock and let us go from where all we’ve gone in search for something to say that would make it seem okay for having so long allowed everything else to speak for us. Yes, somehow or other, though now it seems the how doesn't really seem to matter as we're already well onto the ladder as the life we've lived as mute ourselves now lies in tatter on what is the ground both beneath us and hopefully too behind us as we've, I pray, hopefully taken His play for our part and found in that a change of a heart that’s...

Isaiah 44:20 NIV or be them wood, plastic, glass or gold, truth of all manmade god is told in that if it has no life with which to sustain itself, looking then for life within is a lie as sought inside all that life none such can hold. Alas, this seems a sight unassumed at best, utterly unwelcome at most. And by most. In fact I dare say, humbly so, that each and every one of all of us both behind and still to come, all of us have or will find reason to refuse to let lose this lie we’ve fought to bring to life inside all such lifelessness as every idolatry is. Yes, it matters not with what it’s made for the issue is that it’s made by we who too were made, meaning it is but a different dust as gathered alongside the same side of this eternal divide as designed between life and death from which we too were scooped. Indeed, we are all but dust and patience, and both of them already returned to them from which they came. Problem is that which is to be potentially proven upon our returning i...

Isaiah 41:29 NIV At the moment I know not a better way to describe this life of mine as thus far having been lived lost to what is a life that I, at times, hardly recognize. Yes, seems as if I’ve myself been but wind and confusion. And what tends to amaze is the sheer number of days in which I still steal into what’s always felt my share of that air as breathed by those who neither believe nor dare not to. For that seems to define all of us in what is an almost perfectly peaceless life as lived for always wanting something else, another god of either gold sold or glory told as in tales of whales we almost caught and sicknesses we wish we’d have missed somehow. But, alas, those somehow’s and almost did’s, they anymore amount to what is just about the outermost excitement of this nearly entire divestment from a life’s designed direction. For I have no doubt that life wasn’t meant to go this way that we’ve so arrogantly called ours, as empty as it’s always proven to be. Weren’t meant to h...

1 Corinthians 10:14 NIV What is it about us humans that has us so adamant to prove we're right by doing everything wrong? It's like we instinctually trust in that law of motion that tells us that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. It's as if we rely on our foolishness to be met with an equal and opposite wisdom that yanks us back from the edge of destruction that our stupidity continues to race toward. We simply cannot seem to get out of our own way. It's truly as if we're absolutely set on our downfall in this attempt to prove the validity of our faith in this expectancy that if God be real, then He will save us from the foolhardy mistakes we can't help but feel the need to make. We seem to believe that if we do enough wrong that His mercy will shine even brighter. Shall we go on sinning that His grace may increase? Well, it sure seems like that’s the theory we live to test! Why is it that we can't calm it down, reel it in, and finall...
