Romans 3:13 NIV gives up the grave Only not that into which we’re all now called to come and down our lives lay but rather they amongst whom we walk who’ve always it seems something to say about the way in which we play what is this hand that we’ve made into this way in which we’ve now nothing to say unto He who is the One who went before and asks us to follow behind. Indeed, among this descent into madness in which He’s made me alive and makes me that still further every moment I find that I feel increasingly uninclined to listen to the thoughts and attitudes of various hearts which are clearly deceived and minds too then falling apart. A disinterest which is so very deep already and yet somehow deepens only at each day’s start. And that because this world hits us right in the face every single morning with what has become such a boring bearing of weights over which we should have never come unto this worry that we might really need to carry. Every hour we’re handed unto the power of ...

1 Timothy 6:9 NIV Destruction’s edge Such is what comparison is. For the truth is that whenever we resort yet again once more into the looking unto those around us to all but themselves define for us what our lives too should be, as is sadly all too often defined by that with which they’re filled, as is then likely to describe the ways in which ours are not, then all we can ever find is just that estimation of an empty life as lain barren alongside a great many who are instead finding clearly their way to what seems everything that would then too make our lives feel more worth living. And yet whenever that stone remains a part placed in any place within a person’s foundation, it doesn’t really matter what’s built upon it as if we’re always willing to wonder as to whether life’s worth living, chances are we’ll remain both open to considering that it isn’t and too to doing some iffy things trying to change that. All because again we see only this endless sea of what’s so easily perceived...

1 Peter 5:8 NIV Sobering A thought so severely scaring that it inspires the very severing of what may have well been such long-standing assumptions or presumptions of a path paved into the forever ahead as planned both without pain and thus within preference aplenty. And indeed, it does so clearly seem as if our lives have been lived quite drunk on such delight as our devotion unto this idea of our getting to decide everything from what matters most to thus what all we do and say in light of such a confounding confusion. Confusing in that our cravings change every day if not multiple times within the same and confounding because the presence of such a variable pretense proves the existence of what is “a third variable that affects the relationship between the independent and dependent variables in an experiment.” The experiment here being life with the independent variable being “your enemy the devil” who incites said changes in our cravings and lusts so as to see in us, the dependent ...

Proverbs 14:16 NIV For while even the prudent may still walk a path with problem proven, to face the same without some help is what causes all to fall both apart and potentially such forever. Alas, to be a hotheaded fool is sadly a way we all know for we've all known a certain sense of security sought within ourselves even though still vastly lost within our sinful ways found and followed within a great many days in which we worried ourselves for only what we saw to be a matter that mattered most in the moment. But the issue at hand is that to assume security without the Savior's salvation is to put all of our eggs inside the basket that is us. And while this may make us feel all warm and fuzzy, continuing to rely upon the blind to lead us anywhere will only leave us found somewhere that nobody wants to be. Because while eternal promise promised upon the end of the wide and sinful is indeed said to be itself plenty warm, I’m just not so sure about the fuzziness of eternal flame...

Romans 7:5 NIV For when. Such is the way our new life begins as all that is new is otherwise compared to all that wasn’t new but was rather already known, already gone, already sold, already dead as it were. Or at least that’s the gravity of this gift of grace that’s offered us both a new place and too a new life to live in new ways along the way toward that place that isn’t the old but is rather the comparative by which we consider the costs and consequence of this chance to choose a change that might truly become a change so impossible that it otherwise demands an eternity to experience it. Indeed, quite the opposite of all things already known and long since gone. And the amazing part is that this shift is one found and felt within each person as such is the substance of a relationship the likes of which our faith was always meant to be. Unfortunately we’ve all long known only to look to ourselves, lean on ourselves, live for ourselves, live by ourselves. For such is the necessity o...
