1 Peter 2:9 KJV I think sometimes He lets us break ourselves down so that we finally understand that we can't crumble but so far. Because despite the power and ability and authority we think we have, we have nothing in the end because we are nothing in and of ourselves. We have not the right to undo any of what He's done. We don't have the might to pry open His hands in order to fall into whatever pit or preference we might think we'd prefer. We cannot do anything He's not already ordained. Thus this isn't our doing but His alone. And within that fact we find that whatever we may feel or feel we can do can ultimately only fail as it falls to its knees before the unchanging will of our unchanging God. But see, our problem is that all of humanity is adamant to do this our way so that we're the ones who gain the glory from whatever successes or achievements we feel we've added unto our story.
