About The Forge

The Forge was founded upon the principle of Proverbs 27:17. "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." We're better together. We can make one another stronger and help each other face the trials and challenges of life. There is never a reason to accept less than the best, and we have the duty to help one another grow in faith.

On February 22, 2015 I was challenged by a friend of mine to post a Bible verse every day for 7 days. I found in those 7 days that a week just wasn't long enough. I seriously loved diving into God's word and sharing it with others. So I never quit. As of today, 6/7/2020, I'm on day 1932 of that 7 day challenge. I guess you could say that I've become addicted, but I'm cool with that. This daily Bible verse challenge has just become a regular part of my life, and I am still loving every second of it!

Along the way I've discovered just how far the world around us has gotten from the One that created us. I've learned more than I could have ever imagined about the Bible, what the scriptures mean to me personally, and just how much more I have to learn. I've always enjoyed learning and growing and I want to help others do the same. I don’t have it all figured out, never will. But that definitely won't keep me from trying. I’m just a normal guy trying to find my way through this great big mess of lies and confusion that the world has created, and I want to bring as many people along with me on this journey as I can.

So I've decided to start The Forge to help us all find our way back to the truths that the Bible teaches. The world is getting weirder every single day; we can either sit back and watch it unfold, or we can do something about it. The thing is that God didn't create us as the sit back and let it all go type, that's not how He forged us. We are stronger than that. We don't duck and run. We don't turn our backs. We stand united and lean on Him to guide us through the fog that the world is lost within.

It’s time that we find our way back. It’s time that we get back to leaning on God, trusting in His plan, following His commands. It's time to start bringing back morality, decency, common sense, respect, and all the other things that we seem to have lost along the way. In the midst of all this politically correct stuff, we’ve lost sight of what truly matters, what’s actually important. So please join me in my quest to ditch being right in the world's eyes, and focus on getting right with God. Day 2016 of the 7 day Bible verse challenge.

Matthew 6:20 NIV Yesterday I posed a very big question: have you ever thought about the vastness of eternity? I'm just afraid that so many people are living for these lives only, and that's going to lead to quite a shock when we reach the end of this leg of the trip only to find that something else really does come next. So I just want to encourage everyone to take today's verse to heart. This is one that my mom likes to quote and share quite often. And it's really a very important lesson that everyone needs to learn and always keep in mind. Day 2042 of the 7 day Bible verse challenge.

Proverbs 29:25 NIV Ok, last one on this idea. For a while at least. I promise! I think one of the biggest things that holds us back from being who God made us and sharing the message He's entrusted us with is that we know it isn't popular. And our world is thoroughly enthralled with being popular. Popularity is the new drug of the masses, so doing or saying anything that isn't widely accepted brings this fear of being labeled an outcast or freak. So we let the fear of those around us keep us from sharing the message of the One who loves us. We don't talk about Christ because the world doesn't like His kind of truth. They don't like this idea of sin and how some things are just wrong to say, think, or do. Everybody just wants to do what they want, and God's way just doesn't jive well with that kind of thinking.
