Matthew 21:44 NIV The humbling Like it or not the promise is that for all of us it is coming and that perhaps as soon as this afternoon. And that simply because, contrary to our arrogant consideration that we’ve plenty of time still unto the preparation of our every preference and their every intention, truth is that we’ve a rather impressive inability to do or control or dictate much of anything. Maybe not even our actions as perhaps they’re all but reactions to things done to us, for us, asked from us. All then that might determine our measure of wrong from His perfection of right is whether there’s any sign or semblance of a willingness to if not help at the very least get out of the way of they who try. Something we all know very little of in life. Why? Because even to need help is to us a show of a life unable to grow into this overall expectancy of our being here so perfectly capable that we might prove ourselves ever able to do all things which need done all by ourselves and thu...

1 Peter 5:6 NIV When is life? Another odd question, right? Because, again, as we’ve been talking about for days now the truth is that we have here a life that we are living as we are all here as those who are alive thus living a life. And so common logic as is measured amongst human wisdom would have us believe that our being here as human beings who are humans being what is considered alive, as we are all living a life, means that life is both here and now. And indeed, it is. But so too it isn’t. And I propose this because life as we live it, whilst amazing and tragic and everything in between, it’s just that. It’s a steady blend of everything in between. It’s filled with both good days and hard times. Fun memories and long nights. Laughter enjoyed with friends and tears known by few. Lists of things we hope to find and plenty of those we hope we never need to do. Life here is a perfect chaos in every manner and measure of the word. All because, within this world, what we’ve all come ...

1 Timothy 6:18 NIV Those who have Truth is that we’re all them as we’ve all something either in us or around us or perhaps even about us that allows us what is an affluence in opportunity to be unto humanity, no matter how many, those who dare offer change, inspire hope, encourage a lost and hurting soul. Each of us has here, even if nothing else, a certain amount of time that we can use for literally whatever we like. Problem is that it’s clearly seen that what we all like the very most is thinking about only ourselves. For this world sells this approach to life in which we’re the ones who win. No my friends, we’re here to be the ones who lose. Why? Because that’s what love does. It gives. It cares. It tries. It fights. It shares. It welcomes poverty so that another may have plenty. It wonders as to the chance of a life lived without worry, only for once not for ourselves. It does a little of what Jesus did so perfectly well in that it does, sometimes at least, lay down its life that ...

Psalm 37:16 NIV Less is less Just of nothing that we’ll want and even less of all we’ll need. For with less exists this opportunity of humility coming along and convincing us to keep going along what is the eternal path that’s paved in devotion and its ability to keep ever-lit this raging fire that lives this life through these eyes that see finally these lies for the lies they are rather than the lives we thought we wanted. And indeed, within this world we are surrounded by so many things that can become unto us the seeds which grow this humility as every single day spent here we see something else that someone else says we need that, only through humility, can we see we not only don’t really need but actually quite clearly leads down a road we don’t want to travel on anymore. And that because, contrary to common confusion, not all roads lead to Heaven. In fact there’s only one and it was carved by He who came to carry a cross upon which a life He lost as was lain down willingly so as...

Luke 6:25 NIV A barren beautiful A river with nowhere to go. It’s a desert that doesn’t want an oasis. It’s an iceberg frozen in place, unwilling to bend to the want of the waves around it. It’s a wasteland what wishes to be nothing else, hopes to become nothing more. Not here. Not now. Not even soon, it doesn’t matter anyhow. No, for upon the fringes of the found there exists this sleepy town in which all are welcomed in to what has always been an inn in which there’s both no room and yet plenty then of hope to spare. For whatever is had here is what will be left here when we too have left here. A promise given us not in order to grieve us but rather to see us unto that place where hope is, the very home of such companions as curiosity and the courage to chase it until we’ve run out of ways in which to waste it, run out of things upon which to waste it. Yes, He calls us into the desert, toward the rugged mountains which move and shake as we climb them quaking as we go. Yes, He calls u...
