2 Timothy 2:20 NIV In this house Now there may be some debate as to whether or not it is a home as there are indeed a great many who do seem to so assume that such it might be, but what is of certainty is that of us down here there are a great many. And while many of our many do indeed seem to assume that this house is their home, to a few it is but a house. For to be a home you must start with a house and this is by all accounts a dwelling perfectly defined as such. This world is our house as a house is where you gather to both live and store your stuff. And so in that regard, yes, this world is a house and so that measures up as we’re all here gathered together for however long we’re each supposed to stay and we’ve all indeed come to store a great many things in this place in which we live. This world is a house and it is packed with a passel of people who’ve each differing if not utterly opposing views as to what we’re supposed to do with all that’s here right down to the specific a...

Isaiah 64:6 NIV Missing Anymore it seems that the common man is quite convinced that this is home. That this world is where in which always awaits whatever it is that we’re all supposed to simply assume is ever to be whatever is worth whatever a life awaits to win. And this then has everyone here, or at least the vastest majority of such, in such this rush to heap up wealth as if it will be theirs forever. All to be held inside of houses that are instead called homes as if we’re home simply because we have these hours that we can give to filling our houses seeking to make them feel like homes and us too at such. Yes, each of us have this deep longing to feel at home, almost as if we were indeed created to all but consist of such a feeling as that found in our belonging somewhere. Like we’re actually some piece of some puzzle that’s incomplete until we come to see where we fit and we just fall into place alongside then a life that does the same so wonderfully, so perfectly, so beautiful...

1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV Rather at the merest consideration as to the cost paid to ransom these souls we’ve sold, no, we are tasked with the testimony of Christ’s triumph over our tragedy. And it’s one best told, make that only told within our every single moment and movement as both motivated by a great and growing gratitude that should be in fact so deep within us that we abhor the idea that anything we do or say or think or assume might be elsewise built behind the tendency of blinded eyes and disbelief to dance only upon the surface. No, we cannot so discount this deliverance as it is something that all need yet none might ever afford no matter how special or successful or precious or important or significant or bold or beautiful or powerful or popular we may ever be able to think ourselves to be. For this price He paid is now owed within the debt of a life, and simply put, one lost within the veil of vanity is not worth near enough to measure up to the mercy of the Messiah as His sa...

Isaiah 65:15 NIV And so what’s in a name? What is a name? Is it as we’ve come to consider it and merely nothing more than some moniker made by men to help maintain the pleasantries we’ve come to rely upon to help ensure our name is known? Things such as friendships built upon a first-name basis or a business partnership in which every name is to be preceded by a title aimed at a certain measure of apparent importance of the name following then behind? Is it something for what is basically only a classification’s sake as used in regard to recognition of an individual? Is it individual? Is it corporate? Is it even that important? I might imagine that this has perhaps started off as one of the stranger openings to a daily devotional ever offered, and that’s saying something in light of the many wild wanderings won within what’s become a mind wondering daily about all sorts of such normalities and formalities and why we’re so fascinated with them. And indeed, this is something that I would...

Galatians 3:29 NIV “But to his servants he will give another name.” Indeed, to be heir to something so rare as to be hopefully and prayerfully found amongst those few, those joyous few, those brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus who are welcomed into their rest at what is the elation of the rest, well, such is as grand a glory as any might ever imagine unto a story. Alas, within this life we’ve lost sight of that gift, mainly due to the cost and what consequence it might mean unto us. For yes, we have been given the call to come into Christ and therein put off the old self as has been corrupted by every deceitful desire designed among mankind. Cost then clearly said old self. And indeed this is quite perfectly where we find almost a world in every entirety utterly living in what’s been a long lost denial of anything decent, of anything holy, of anything beautiful, of anything lowly. Yes, I contend that that last one is in fact such the ask that most are unwilling to answer as it comes ...
