Day 1946 of the 7 day Bible verse challenge.

Proverbs 3:12 NIV

Today we get to celebrate some of God's biggest blessings in our lives. Father's Day is the one day that our world sets aside to honor and celebrate the fathers and father figures in our lives. These people are some of the biggest gifts ever. They help shape and mold us into the people that we are. They honestly deserve more than just one day a year, they should be thanked every single day for all that they for us.

It's almost like God knew all along that we would need people in our lives to help us along the way. After all, we're all way too stubborn and prone to messing up to be able to do this by ourselves! So He gave us our dads. He created this idea of fatherhood. He gave us these prime examples of so many amazing things that we just wouldn't be the same without. Hard work, dedication, leadership, compassion, understanding, humor, toughness, and the list goes on and on.

I'm not a father, yet. I truly hope and pray that it's part of the Lord's plans for my life. But I can only imagine just how tough of a job it is. I mean, have you ever thought about everything they do? From the obvious things like helping support our families and managing to not go crazy when we're a little bit more of a pain than usual. But also the tough love. The long nights and early mornings. The countless thoughts and prayers on our behalf. Coming up with all of those goofy jokes, and remembering them all so they can pull them out anytime!

I have to say that one of the things that we should all be truly grateful for it the hard love. Loving us so much that they're just gonna keep it real and hit us with the truth because they know we can do better. We're often surrounded by people who only tell us what we want to hear. But we should always listen to the ones that tell us what we need to hear. That's because they're the ones that help us grow and get better. And our fathers are perfect examples of that.

We seriously need to celebrate these amazing people far more than we do. After all, they do their amazing job every single day. They lead, guide, direct, encourage, instruct, and everything else time and time again. And we just wouldn't be who we are without them in our lives. So always be sure to be thankful for our fathers. Appreciate the job they do and how well they do it. Perfect? Nope. But they always get up and try again the next day. And they will keep on trying, and keep on loving us every day that we have them.

We can never take these blessings for granted. So to all of the awesome dads out there, thank you. Thank you for making us laugh. Thank you for providing a roof over our heads and a meal on the table. Thank you for pushing us to keep going. Thank you for inspiring us to do better. Thank you for working non-stop to help us become good people. You folks are some true heroes, and you can never be thanked enough for all you do.

Happy Father's Day to all of the fathers and father figures out there. Hope you all have a great day today, you definitely deserve nothing but the best!
