Day 2021 of the 7 day Bible verse challenge.

1 Corinthians 10:21 NIV

Here's the thing folks, God wants us to be all in. He doesn't just want some of our time. He doesn't want a couple nights a week. He doesn't want our prayers only when we're wanting something. He's not looking for part-time believers. It's all or nothing. This lukewarm, watered-down, time clock kind of faith just isn't gonna cut it. So if we're still dabbling in the ways of this world, then we're missing out on what walking with Christ is meant to be.

We're called to fully, completely, totally, and humbly submit our lives to Him. He calls us to come to His table and lay down all that we're carrying. He doesn't say to hold on to the things that we still find valuable. He doesn't tell us to keep carrying the stuff that we've selfishly grown to enjoy. Doesn't ask us to follow Him while still trying to keep in step with the world around us.

We have got to stop only going half-way in. We will never truly experience faith, find peace, or feel joy until we leave everything else behind and give Him all that we have. It's crazy to think that we can somehow figure out a way to keep hold of our old ways and still expect to be changed through His salvation. It just doesn't make any sense.

If we really want to be changed for the better, then we have to give Him everything. He's not an emergency number for when things go wrong. He isn't a hobby we pick back up on the weekends when we're less busy. He is our Father, our Creator, our Teacher, and the only way to everlasting life in Heaven. So stop allowing anything to limit your faith. It is not worth it!

We can't give God half of our time, our energy, our attention, or our lives and expect Him to fully change us. It's all or nothing. So if you're still holding on to anything of this world, still paying attention to things that pull you away from Him, still carrying anything from your past, let it go. Do not let anything hold you back and keep you from fully experiencing faith.

Look, the world around us is a mean and nasty place with all kinds of messed up things in it. Even though we're surrounded by darkness, we ourselves don't have to be lost in it all. We can open our hearts and our lives to God and let Him lead us through the mess. But we have to give Him everything. Make Him your priority, faith your goal, righteousness your hobby, and let go of anything that holds you back. It's not worth missing out on a life of peace. After all, it's awful hard to walk on two sides of a fence at the same time. Which side do you really want to be on?
