Hebrews 10:35 NIV

Today is my mom's birthday and not to sound all cheesy but she really is one of the best people I know. She's been through so much and keeps going. No matter what she's dealing with or how rotten she feels some day, she always manages to find a way to keep finding the good in life. Always there to lean on, get advice from, and definitely a huge source of inspiration.

She fits this verse perfectly. It's so easy to get discouraged in life when things get a little rocky. We've been talking quite a lot about listening to God, focusing on Him, and never letting go of our faith in Him. He is our Rock. He is the reason that we're able to keep going. He is the strength that keeps us walking. And He is the confidence that helps us face life and all of its challenges.

There's so much uncertainty in life. We don't know what any one day is going to bring. We don't know how our feeble little plans will go. We don't know the changes and growth that we'll need to make along this journey. Then you add the extra little fun bits like pain and not feeling well on top of the mix and you end up with all sorts of reasons to live in fear and doubt.

But God. There is always that 'but God' part. We don't know what's coming but God does. We don't understand why things go the way they do but God does. We don't see the reason for our pain or the trials we face but God does. That's why He is our confidence. He is our reason to always hope. He is our joy when life is hard. He's what gives us the ability to laugh, smile, dance, and sing through the hard days we endure.

Don't let go of your confidence in His faithfulness. Don't lose that hope you have in His promises. Don't forget all those times that He kept you going when you were ready to quit. Don't lose your smile, your joy, your goofiness, your light that He put inside of you. Yes this life isn't always easy or enjoyable but God has a reason for everything. And His reasons will always be for our good. Trust in that and I promise life won't be nearly as scary or miserable as it used to feel!

    He is our rock. Don't ever let go of faith it will get us where he wants us.
