Matthew 6:23 NIV The best of us What if it’s the worst of us? What if we’re only best at being wrong? What if being wrong is what we’re in fact anymore so very good at that we don’t care to become good at anything else, thanks to the defiance designed inside such a dire decay? What if indeed we’ve so come to love living this life this worst of all wrong ways that we cannot seem to ever again see any real need to be anything or do anything any differently? Does not a delight in wrong only design a dedication to the same? Is that not the overall purpose of such things as dedication, discipline, determination? Are not they all something of a determining as is always done upon a resolve to leave then a matter resolved? Granted, we’ve all made plenty of choices that only came around to be found as having been the wrong choices to make. But unfortunately it’s a measure of humility that such a realization always takes and thus one that is being taken advantage of less and less in these days a...

Matthew 6:22 NIV How deep ‘Tis indeed a duty of each to determine for themselves in regard to that which sells what we then buy or deny. And though the denial is often the safer choice to choose, leaving us then with in the future less to lose, the issue seems to be that we’re a people who crave for what we see. And when the eye is used as merely a window to a world wasted on want, well, it’s only a matter of time before thine eye too is filled with things to so peruse in what then becomes a life lived amongst the rest of those blind being led by the same. Each into a differing depth of darkness as determined by their own unique willingness to be both led and to never then leave. Which is precisely the problem facing you and me and everyone both behind and in between. It’s this sunken reality in which we really do walk alongside a growing number of those growing blind. I suppose that, again, it was only a matter of time but that common cliché seems unable to say what’s really going on ...

1 John 2:16 NIV From whence Such is where to which everything that is shall return when whatever it is is done being whatever it was for which it was required to be within the place that it thus presently is but thus too shall one day not be anymore. This is the overall gravity of all that is perishing. It’s the promise of a sort of impermanence that is, for us, the power of the grave that indeed calls every single name and will in fact hear from every single one of us who toward it are indeed drawing near. The only difference to be found once we get there is that designed inside how we’d spent our time in what is, by then, a life that will be over thanks to the death which marks so wonderfully the end thereof. It is in every way a most perfect design, this crumbling lifetime in which time matters as we’ve only so much of it to use and thus only an inevitability of it running out altogether. And while this should inspire us to use it as wisely as a flock of fools might, no, rather we s...

1 Peter 2:11 NIV Foreigners and Exiles It’s amazing how out of place you can begin to feel in what is the only place you’ve ever been. That’s been something that’s floated around my head for months now. Something of a personal symptom of the growing dysfunction of a world so filled with such misplaced assumptions that the vast majority are still looking for God in the dirt upon which we stand, never seeming then to ever get closer to either what they’re looking for nor the realization that says we’re leaving the land in which they’re looking. A realization that I reckon is never reached for good reason. And that’s because what’s more amazing is how out of place you can begin to feel in what is the only life you’ve ever lived. We don’t want to feel that way. We don’t want to feel so out of place. We don’t want to feel like we don’t belong, like things have gone, like so too have we in the worst of all direction and degree as designed by what our hands have sought to find and our hearts ...

Romans 13:14 NIV The drift Such is where we’ve come to exist in what is a world vastly warped yet warmed within what remains of a fallen way in which all have walked and only few have won. And that because we’ve long thought of winning as something done best through sinning with faces grinning thanks to the winning of what’s then a way in which we get to boast all about how we’re the ones who get to live without the shame and sorrow as seen upon the faces of those in places that we once were before we found a way out. Only to have happened into new places surrounded by new faces selling new traces of the same tarnished trophies. With only one Way out. And yet it’s the one we don’t want to take. And that’s because this life’s become this never-ending competition to prove we can be the ones who find another, a confusion in which we’re all supposed to live as if we care to be only whatever another already is or at least a confused continuation of what we always were. For here the goal has...
