Romans 6:5 NIV All in, halfway Such is all but almost certainly what this life in all of its gradient entirety seems to weigh. For here we both find ourselves quite obviously alive but at that living a life lost inside the awareness of the nearness of our life here proving far from endless. And it’s from this that we all gain, along our own way, what feels only unto us as our lone awareness of both what this life means and what more that means as seen inside how we live it. A collective then of choices all aimed at either upholding our growing understandings of a life’s gravity or rather joining with those undermining the same. Either way, it seems most days that we’re each both all in and yet only halfway. Home, that is. And that is because this is still a scene which so often seems like home. And granted, that does make some sense seeing as how we are all here for what is a long time, even in a short life. And that’s because literally all the time we’ll ever have is had only here. Wh...

Philippians 3:11 NIV Only the lost Can be found. Only the broken can be made whole. Only the used can be made new. Only the hurting can experience healing. Only the forgotten can be remembered once more. Only the shattered can be put back together. Only the weathered have the strength to carry on. Only those carrying burdens can be freed from under their weight. Only those who wait will know if it was worth it or not. Only those with such patience can see the fullness of a promise. And only a promise can forgive. Such as that of Him who calls us to forgive others so that we too can know the gravity of grace given by our at first giving it away. Same said of life. For that is the entire purpose of this thing, this journey, this jading jaunt through hollowed haunts hunting the hope that offers only a rope that leads still onward into that great dark abyss that is the past we’ve lived in the mistakes we made of a life we lost thinking we’d found the very best way to do what we still do no...

Philippians 3:10 NIV Filling For in truth, such is life, and that all the time, and that with either what is here or with all that isn’t. And this is what demands of us a daily decision made inside a distanced determination as defined and disciplined as to uphold the unique blend of what we think we know with what all we can’t know enough to even think. And I think that this is where we find ourselves so easily struggling when it comes to faith for the journey that is such a belief isn’t one always easy to see. Let alone then easy enough to understand that we can readily find reason within. Rather faith is a journey spent into this increasing perplexity, though oddly enough one found growing against what we have known. And that’s because in faith we will go unto this place in which all we have known becomes seen as but the very beginning of the better we hope still to find or merely the perpetually less than that we’ve then no worries in leaving. And this finds for us a quite distinct ...

1 Peter 4:3 NIV Gratitude The same should be our attitude within every day we’re given, or at the very least within the vast majority thereof. And this is something we’re all reminded of within holidays such this we celebrate today in which we’re all but forced to stop our general continuation of what’s become a life of all but increasing consternation. Indeed, this day in which we’re encouraged unto the giving of thanks shouldn’t be something so set aside for such a once-a-year tradition in which we, for a mere 24 hours (or however many thereof for which we’re awake before the turkey kicks in), are reminded of how blessed we truly are. But alas it seems that we’ve rather grown confident that our blessed assurances come only inside those entirely rare days in which every little thing goes our way and brings us all we wish to delight within as it unfolds. And this has left us all growing quite cold alongside a world doing vastly the same. I honestly for the life of me cannot recall a ti...
