Colossians 2:20 NIV It’s a good question. One that we don’t ask ourselves near enough as is made obvious in the fact that all of us still allow within us so much worldliness that we are still as likely as ever before to be quite hard to separate, differentiate from the weeds amongst which sometimes wheat must grow. I guess the difference is that wheat doesn’t much know that amongst which it grows but rather pours itself into being itself and becoming that self for which it was made. All because it was made without eyes, without mind and thus without any such windows through which to see all of these reasons we ourselves have seen to have apparently found this incessant need to become like that alongside which we are. No, wheat knows only to grow as wheat, and though it tangle and tear, still it achieves the overall design for which it’s here. Question is will we? Better question is can we? Best question is how could we when all we seem to desire to be is but a reflection of the rebelli...

1 Corinthians 6:12 NIV Mere human rules Such is what it seems all but all of life has become so vastly consumed by, interested in, arguing over even that anymore all we can ever be is but the same slaves we always were before. And that’s because in the end it won’t matter what rights or legalities we may wish to attach or have elsewise attached to our arrogant estimation of that which is right and the more we feel is not. No, all that’s going to matter is what all we used this freedom we’ve been given to do, to be, to become as combined of both the above. Guess then the question again becomes both freedom for what and too what from. And yet what seems so increasingly strange is this increasing strain found amongst this collective brain by which we gather together and measure whatever it is that we seek to jointly agree is the right thing to be, the best thing to do, the truest form of whatever it is that we’re seeking to know or at the very least show we might. Indeed, it seems as thou...

2 Peter 2:19 NIV “Peace, peace” they say, But make no mistake, there’s anymore not even a piece of peace to be seen around these parts. Rather it seems that such a prize as peace has always been has become but a figment of an often forlorn hope held in the fragile hearts of those who’ve agreed to come apart from a world doing the same. It’s but a dream inside this brain that says Christ has came and will come again, bringing with Him only then the only peace we’ll ever know, but that when He does, oh, we few will know His peace forever! Not because we’ll have had our peace along the way, no. No but instead because He was our piece of what we grew to believe was the only puzzle worth our trying to put together. And that puzzle is our faith. And yet that it is puzzling is why so many do stray and wander only away from what is the only Way to the peace that rather this place dares pretend it already has within. Again friends, what peace? Truly, tell me please! What peace does this place h...

Romans 6:20 NIV A forlorn freedom For it is, though free, it is too free as it does indeed lack any restraint, any reason, any reality even. And while this seems unto us as the freest kind of freedom as it does offer what becomes an absolute limitlessness in regard to all of which we might like and love within this life within this world so filled with such frills and thrills as fortune and fame, it will alas end the same no matter the name we’ve made in our making our way toward that way in which all we want is all we win within that try to fill this life with all we think we’re free to feel, find, forget, forsake or fail. Yes, freedom itself can prove a failure of sorts as liberty taken too liberally can only end at the allowance of a man to completely let go of his every better judgement as instead enjoyment becomes the only prize he pursues. And yeah, that allows him to put himself always first, seeking thus always whatever may quench that unquenchable thirst that is an emptiness i...
