1 Timothy 6:11 NIV Run for your life Because it will turn out that there is no life amongst those who are no longer alive. And this is, in truth, a quite hard truth to accept, to understand as from where we stand it sure does seem as if we’re stood amongst man who are alive in what is a life that we all share to some degree inside this place in which we see so very many who both look like you and me, talk like you and me, live like you and me. But the problem is that indeed looks and words and wants can prove to deceive. And so too then can life itself perhaps not be all that it may elsewise seem. Such as that that is spent upon this chase for all time will come to prove was a waste of itself upon this outlook that worried only for that which this world sells. And there are truly a great deal of these unruly priorities being placed still daily upon things that are themselves ever changing in what is a world proving persistently the same: Changing. It’s all just always changing. Nothing...

1 Timothy 6:10 NIV Fortune’s misfortune It’s not something anyone ever sets out fighting to find as rather the fame of fortune is what we all find we feel the need to find instead. And this pursuit for prosperity has indeed come to become quite the common care amongst our culture of what’s anymore made up of we who are a people only concerned about prioritizing our perspectives, many of which are placed all but entirely upon our estimation of the necessity of what’s no longer quite so simple as making a living. No, seems as though long gone are the days in which our ways were aimed always at just getting by inside what was then a life not so enamored by the allure of enamel. And thus as of today all our ways are anymore aimed always at the having of more of, well, anything really. Doesn’t even matter what as the quantity has so well overtaken our understanding of quality that we pay no mind to the lack of life being found, being felt, being lived as life itself is left behind as either...

1 Timothy 6:9 NIV Wandering wealth Because that’s what wealth wants and thus what wanting it does to we who are but a people who are here but for a moment that’s both worth far more than wealth and yet so often lost to the lust of a treasured trust placed in a trust of treasure to provide everything from security to pleasure. All simply because inside this world wealth wins whatever we want. Being rich can afford for us any kind of affluence we may find ourselves feeling influenced to assume we need. And this opportunity at such things as recognition and renown are found to form a crown that the crowd just can’t help but be enamored with. Thus a life we can’t help but be measured by. And indeed, this is life, or at least our meager measure of one as far as how to live it. It’s all something won within our winning of whatever more we can always find a way to want so badly that we eventually just believe it a necessity. Truly, I cannot count the amount of things offered by the wealth of ...

Proverbs 23:4 NIV Down or free? Seems there’s a generally hopeful reality, hopefully, in which we’re all promised to reach what is the same experiencing of something that will only prove to go one of two ways. The same experience which awaits each of us is our very own breaking, a moment which will go differently because we’ll get there only to either break down or break free. The oddity is that the road to this moment is paved the same no matter what. The hope is that along the way we come to learn the necessity of the one option as proven in what should be a blatant disinterest in the other. But still, when our own end we have reached, what then will be found by each? I suppose what makes this hard to even begin to understand is that it seems we meet a bit of both along the way. Indeed, inside of almost every single day we all find ourselves breaking, struggling, sinking into this believing that it’s both all on us and thus something we can control and yet that it’s then best for us ...

Psalm 90:10 NIV Trouble and sorrow I sit here at 38, apparently and probably halfway home if not more, and I can already look back on what’s been a ride long spent through a fair share of the both as have been met more times than I can remember as of this morning. For in truth, such truly is life. It’s but our time in which we find that we’ll all feel that we’ll always fail to find the fun, fame, fortune or whatever other such fast-paced frivolousness that the world continues to tell us that we need in ever-growing measure. Why? Because to many here this place is their home and thus too the same of their every treasure and, well, as time continues to fly by toward wherever time goes once it’s gone from us, the same then seem to easily understand that their running out of the time they once had more of demands they find more soon. Not time as that’s what we fail at in this life, finding time. But more stuff, more treasure as it were and for many will continue to be. Indeed, so many here...
